Review Cheap GE Digital KeySafe

This GE Digital KeySafe works as advertised. Heavy duty construction. It easily mounts onto door jamb. Setting combination is easy, but is a mechanical process. House key is screwed onto removeable base. Cannot tighten the screw enough to keep key from moving around. This is annoying. I would buy this GE Digital KeySafe again.

This GE Digital KeySafe has really helped with my teenager's. No more lost keys! The product is sturdy except we have already had trouble with keeping the key attached inside the box. Seems like the screw or mechanism is cheaply made and now won't hold the key on tightly.

Other reviewers said that this was definitely difficult to change key combinations, but in reality is not so difficult.

There was only one step in the statement that has confused me ... "Putting a metal spacer with a short leg on the right side," and I have problems to discover that the leg was short and the direction was right ... But after looking at the shape of the spacer, there was only one way back in the tray combination setting.

The key safe is made of rubbercovered most of the metal parts so as not to scratch my railing or handle / handle.

Overall, it seems so strong and it is not difficult to change the combination .. so do not complain. ;-)
